Fygi Technologies introduces its Scan Pay Go solution to the German market.
The experienced tech sales expert Carsten Pletz has accepted the position as Fygi’s sales director in Germany. Mr. Pletz will take the lead role in introducing Fygi’s Scan Pay Go solution for retailers.
With 20 years of experience in sales, business development, and executive positions in a variety of tech companies, Mr. Pletz ensures a powerful German entry for Fygi.
– Retailers need a mobile alternative in their stack of payment solutions, and they need mobile-based tools to enrich the shopping experience of their customers, says Mr. Pletz. The self-servicing market needs solutions that comprise the experience element of shopping, not only the payment part, and Fygi has this.
Further, Mr. Pletz elaborates that retailers have grown tired of heavy system integrations and hardware investments. Mobile-based solutions embrace this new sentiment through its “bring your own device” nature.
Fygi provides contactless self-service solutions for the retail sector, which substantially improves the customer experience and frees up staff time from processing payments. The company is already established in Norway and Sweden, and now also moves full speed into Germany.
– The German payments market is conservative and cash remains the option of choice for many consumers. However, retailers acknowledge that mobile payments need to be part of their mix in order to attract more broadly. Obtaining the commitment of a capacity such as Carsten is a great testament to the potential for our solutions in the German market, says Fygi CEO Amund Skaaden.
